We are delighted to host this landmark event in Hyderabad, a city known for its rich history, culture and delicious food. The city is a major hub for modern technology housing amongst the largest and diverse scale of IT industries both in the country and that of the world. It provides a perfect back drop for discussion on upcoming technology domains of DE systems, which is of great relevance in prevailing geo-political scenario.

Founded in 1591, the city is famous for landmarks like Charminar, Hussain Sagar Lake, Golconda Fort and Ramoji Film City. The Statue of Equality, a 216 feet tall metallic statue of saint Sri Ramanujacharya, dedicated to the principles of equality and social justice is one of the world’s tallest sitting statue located about 40 km from Hyderabad. The city is famous for its mouth-watering biryani and local specialties like pearls and Pochampally sarees.

Travel & Accomodation

Expenditure for travel and accommodation is to be borne by participating delegates. Local pooled-transport for attending the conference within the city limits will be provided by the conference secretariat.

February is the end of tourist season in Hyderabad and those who are desirous of hotel accommodation are encouraged to book their accommodation in advance. Prospective delegates may use the RUDRAS-2026  hotel link to avail concessional rates for the conference. The conference secretariat will not accept payment for accommodation. A few guesthouse rooms are available for release on first come first serve basis preferably for student delegates.

Ramoji Film City

Established by media mogul Ramoji Rao in 1996, Ramoji Film City is a cinematic wonderland located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, India. Sprawling across a staggering 2,000 acres, it holds the Guinness World Record as the world’s largest integrated film studio complex.

Studio Tours: Visitors traverse the massive grounds in vintage-style red buses to view diverse landscapes and sets.

Entertainment Zones: The complex features Eureka, a cultural theme park; Movie Magic, offering behind-the-scenes insights into special effects; and Fundustan, a dedicated space for children.

Live Shows: Spectacular stunt shows, opening ceremonies, and cultural performances run daily.

How to Reach

Ramoji Film City (RFC) is located about 30–40 km from the heart of Hyderabad. Since it is on the city’s outskirts (Abdullapurmet), planning your transport in advance is key to maximizing your day there.

  1. By Private Vehicle or Cab (Easiest)

Taking a taxi (Uber, Ola, or local rentals) is the most comfortable way to reach the studios.

  • From the Airport (RGIA): It is about 38 km away via the Outer Ring Road (ORR). The drive takes roughly 1 hour.
  • From the City Center: Depending on your location (Banjara Hills, Gachibowli, etc.), it takes about 1 to 1.5 hoursvia NH65.
  1. By Metro & Local Bus (Budget-Friendly)

There is no direct metro to the film city, but you can get very close.

  • Step 1: Take the Red Line metro and get off at L.B. Nagar Station (the last stop).
  • Step 2: From L.B. Nagar, you can take a local TSRTC bus (Route 205F or 207) or a quick auto-rickshaw/cab for the remaining 12–15 km.
  1. Official Ramoji Bus Pickup (Recommended)

Ramoji Film City operates its own fleet of guided tour buses that pick up tourists from over 50 locations across Hyderabad (including Secunderabad, Ameerpet, Kukatpally, and Gachibowli).

  • Timings: Most pickups start between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
  • Benefit: These are round-trip services that bring you back to your starting point after the park closes. You can book these while purchasing your entry tickets on the official website.
  1. By Train

The nearest major railway stations are Secunderabad Junction and Nampally (Hyderabad Station), both about 25–30 km away.

  • From the station, you can take a direct bus (204N from Nampally) or book a cab.
  • For local trains (MMTS), Ghatkesar is the closest station (approx. 14 km away), but transport from there to the gates can be infrequent.
